Everyday revival, rooted in care.
At Nurture + Leaf, every pot has a past.
Some arrive covered in forgotten paint.
Some are sun-bleached, soil-stained, or quietly waiting for a second chance.
We reclaim each vessel by hand — removing layers of old paint, lifting years of mineral buildup, and restoring the warm terracotta tones or natural ceramic textures beneath. Your pots don’t just hold plants; they hold stories.
Reclaimed, revived, and ready for new roots.
Why Reclaimed?
-
Choosing a reclaimed pot keeps waste out of landfills and honors the materials already in circulation. Every revived pot extends the life cycle of clay, water, and craftsmanship — a small but powerful act of low-waste gardening.
-
These pieces come with subtle history — softened edges, dappled patina, and the kind of imperfect charm you can’t manufacture.
Each one is unique, organically weathered, and beautifully yours. -
Cleaned, sanitized, inspected, and finished using plant-safe materials, each pot goes through a careful multi-step revival process that ensures it’s both beautiful and functional.
Our
Revival
Process
A peek at the Nurture + Leaf method.
1. Source
We collect discarded, donated, or second-hand terracotta and ceramic pots from our community, local swaps, and curated treasure hunts.
2. Strip + Restore
Old paint, adhesives, or mineral layers are gently lifted using safe scraping methods, warm water soaks, and non-toxic removal techniques (no harsh chemicals).
3. Deep Clean
Each pot is washed using the classic Nurture + Leaf fizz ritual:
warm water + vinegar + baking soda — an eco-friendly method that cleans deeply without harming the clay.
4. Sanitize
All pots are sterilized using a high-heat or vinegar-soak sanitation process to ensure pest-free, disease-free vessels suitable for any houseplant.
5. Dry + Cure
Pots are sun-dried to preserve integrity and highlight their natural tones.
6. Seal (When Needed)
If a pot needs reinforcement, hairline cracks are sealed using plant-safe materials and tested for durability.
7. Photograph + List
Each pot is photographed in natural light — no filters, no edits — so you see the real, revived piece you’re bringing home.

The Heart of Nurture + Leaf
Reclaiming pots is more than a project — it’s the soul of our nursery.
It’s how we began.
It’s how we honor the earth, our community, and the magic of giving old things new life.
Thank you for choosing revived over new.
It matters more than you know.
